Fire is one of the most prevalent public hazards to the general public, and early detection and warning of fire help protect life and property. There are different types of fire detectors to meet various application requirements for detecting the presence of a fire. A point heat detector is one of them, and it consists of a base and an NTC temperature sensor.
NTC temperature sensor is responsible for sensing changes in air temperature. Massive heat generated by fire increases air temperature at the beginning of a fire. As the NTC temperature sensor detects the rise of temperature, its resistance value decreases. The information about temperature change is transmitted to the circuit to signal an alarm.
The NTSB series, the NTC temperature sensor that THINKING developed exclusively for the point heat detector, is responsive and accurate and helps early detection of a fire. The robust lead frame of the sensor ensures its installation at the center of the heat detector. Key features of the NTC temperature sensor with lead frame are below.
Point heat detector that uses NTSB series was granted type approval by the China Quality Inspection and Testing Center for Fire Electronics Product. It also meets the requirement of GB 4716-2005 that specifies requirements, test methods, and performance criteria for point heat detectors.
