IECQ QC 080000 is an internationally recognized HSPM (Hazardous Substance Process Management) system, and its new standard is released on June 1, 2012. THINKING passes the conversion audit of QC080000:2012 and obtains the certificate in April, 2013.

THINKING originally implements QC080000:2005, which is the old standard and only mentions RoHS. However, QC080000:2012, the new standard, covers more legislation, including RoHS2, REACH, and China RoHS. Both RoHS and RoHS2 prohibit the use of six substances (Pb, Cd, Hg, PBB, PBDE, and Cr6+ ). RoHS2, the latest standard, adds HBCDD, DEHP, DBP, and BBP as controlled substances. HBCDD is used as flame retardant, and the rest are as plasticizers. Those substances endanger human health and the environment.

When implementing QC080000:2005, THINKING controls the four substances mentioned above. It also controls raw materials and production process to protect employees and users against potential health risks and reduce pollution in the environment. That indicates THINKING uses stricter standard than legislation to manufacture its products.

THINKING shows its management ability of green product while obtaining QC 080000:2005 certificate in 2009. This conversion to QC 080000:2012 further indicates its improvement in green product management. In other words, THINKING adapts the latest HSPM system to make “THINKING Inside” customer products follow global green trend.
