Gas Discharge Tube: 2-Electrode Gas Discharge Tube for SMT Automatic Production from THINKING

THINKING launches new 2-electrode gas discharge tube (GDT) product family for SMT process, which expands SMD type GDT portfolio of THINKING. Based on the spirit of quality, innovation, and robustness, the new GDTs with new structure and upgraded protective capability meet the new market demand.

  • GF52Y-M Series (5x5x4.2mm)

GD52Y-M series is consisted of one square electrode and one round electrode on the tubular ceramic tube, and which is designed for SMT automatic soldering process. Discharge current (8/20μs) of these device is 2.5KA.

  • GF52Y-C Series (5x5x4.2mm)
  • For GF52Y-C series, both two electrodes and ceramic tube are square. Thanks to the flat surface on square tube, it is much easy and stable in the pick-and-place process when SMT implements. Maximum discharge current (8/20μs) of the device ranges from 2.5 KA to 5KA, and which indicates that it is more compact and saves more installation space when comparing with competitive products.
